Happy New Year Everyone!!

I usually think of my business year as being September through June because the summer is slower and seems like vacation (sort of). However, the normal fiscal year is January to December, and is a time one can evaluate how the year went for the business. What was my actual income? Am I doing the kind of work I want to do? Do I have enough leisure time? Do I know how to use that time? How have I managed my time? Do I have a workable retirement plan? Such introspection can lead to new and improved directions on how you manage your business life.

We have so many resources in PTG, both local and national, that can give us different models of running a piano business. I encourage you to talk to others in the Chapter about how they run their businesses. You can also do this at regional and national conventions as well.

So again, Happy New Year! May this one be even more enjoyable and profitable than the last!
